The below photo's are a photo journal for my website visitors to enjoy.  I have been fortunate to have been able to travel from time to time and with each trip, I photograph turfgrass conditions that I encounter.  I will continue this forum and add to the photo's (and of course soil profile samples) as I continue to travel from place to place.

I was invited to speak at Lake City Community College's Sports Turf Management Class taught by Bruce Witt. Here are some of Bruce's students. In November of 2007, I also organized the North Florida Chapter of the Sports Turf Managers Association (NFSTMA) Meeting at Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. This is the classroom at Doak Campbell Stadium for the NFSTMA Chapter Meeting at Florida State University.

Here is the whole group of NFSTMA meeting attendees on the field at Doak Campbell Stadium. Brian Donaway is Sports Turf Manager and showed us the entire facility as leading the tour. Here is a Soil Profile sample taken with the Mascaro Profile Sampler from the Doak Campbell Stadium at FSU. This Soil Sample is from one of the yardage lines.

This is the center logo on the artificial practice field at Florida State University. Also, here is the Sod Cemetery at Florida State university where FSU digs up a small piece of the opponents field after a big away game victory and buries it here in the cemetery, complete with marker.

November 2009 I was honored to be appointed to serve on the Sports Turf Managers Association's Historical Preservation Committee. This is John Mascaro and Steve Wightman at the Kansas University Memorial Stadium. Steve is sports turf Manager at QUALCOMM Stadium in San Diego, CA. Here is another view of Kansas University Memorial Stadium.
